Do you have a specific studio or aesthetic in mind? If you require a particular setup, please let me know. There are several professional studios available for hourly rental throughout the Valley, and I would be happy to find a space that aligns perfectly with your vision.

How to Prepare for Your Photoshoot

Preparing for a photoshoot should be just as exciting as the session itself! Whether you are celebrating a milestone, capturing your professional brand, or creating high-fashion editorial art, thorough preparation ensures your photos turn out effortless and iconic.

1. High-End Fashion, Editorial & Birthday Vibes

This is your moment to step into the spotlight and push creative boundaries.

Think Outside the Box: Don't be afraid to try bold silhouettes, dramatic textures, statement colors, or avant-garde concepts.

Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize! Accessories are essential to completing any outfit and bringing a look to life. It is highly

recommended that you explore and experiment with styling options—think necklaces, bracelets, earrings, belts, body jewelry,

rings, or statement pieces! Bring items that reflect your personal style and taste.

Shoes & Footwear: Shoes are just as important as the rest of your outfit, so be sure to plan your footwear carefully to match the aesthetic.

Studio Props & Complimentary Accessories:

Cakes, Champagne & Fresh Flowers: If you would like to include cakes, champagne, or fresh flowers, it is highly recommended that you bring

your own, as these are not included in your session. Although the studio has a very small selection of prop cakes and faux flowers that you are

more than welcome to use, bringing your own items ensures your shoot matches your exact personal vision!

Complimentary Wardrobe Accessories: While you are strongly encouraged to bring your favorite pieces, the studio also offers a

small selection of sunglasses, earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and crowns available to use during your shoot at no extra cost.

Styling Assistance: If you need help choosing or layering your look, I am more than happy to assist and help accessorize you on set!

2. Business & Branding Sessions

Branding photos tell the story of your business and establish trust with your future clients.

Match Your Brand Aesthetic: Take a look at your website, social media feed, and brand colors. Choose attire

and color schemes that match the overall vibe and aesthetic of your business.

Bring Your Tools & Equipment: Bring plenty of items that represent what you do daily! Laptops, notebooks,

camera gear, beauty tools, branded merch, or physical products help tell a complete visual story.

Research Outfits Online: Look online for modern professional look books or corporate editorial styles to find an

outfit that feels both polished and authentic to you.

3. Graduation Sessions

Graduation is a major life milestone, and capturing every detail of your achievement is essential!

CRITICAL CHECKLIST: Double-check your bag before heading out the door! Do not forget your cap, gown,

tassels, stoles, cords, and diploma cover. These items are central to your shoot and easy to leave behind in the excitement!

Represent Your Journey: Bring anything and everything that represents your time in school—your major's tools,

university flags, sports gear, or school letterman jackets.

Personal Touches: Bring special items that hold personal meaning to elevate your gallery, such as champagne

for a pop shot (outdoor only), custom decorated caps, or family keepsakes.

4. Skin, Glam & Body Prep

Camera sensors pick up fine details, so a little prep goes a long way toward making your skin look flawless in your gallery!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize: Always hydrate your skin leading up to the shoot! Well-moisturized skin looks

vibrant and smooth under studio lighting.

Avoid Glitter: While loose glitter looks gorgeous in person, high-definition camera lenses and flash light can

make glitter on skin or hair look like dandruff, specks of dust, or lint.

Go for Body Oil for That Gorgeous Glow: If you want that radiant, glowing skin effect, body oil is highly

recommended over glitter or shimmer! It catches studio light beautifully without harsh specks.

Watch What You Eat & Drink: In the hours before your shoot, avoid any foods or beverages that could stain your

teeth or skin (e.g., red wine, coffee, dark berries, or drinks with heavy artificial dyes). Stick to water and light snacks!

5. Session Timing & Punctuality

To make the absolute most of your scheduled time, please keep the following timing guidelines in mind:

Arrive Ready: Your allotted session time includes prep time, outfit changes, and touch-ups. It is highly recommended that

you arrive already dressed in your first outfit to maximize your shooting time in front of the camera.

Mind Your Outfit Changes: If your session includes outfit changes or makeup touch-ups, please keep an eye on the clock!

Changing time counts toward your total session length.

Strict Schedule: Please be very mindful of your appointment time. Sessions are often booked back-to-back, s

o extra time cannot be added if you arrive late or spend extended time changing.

6. Bringing a Guest / Hype Person

You are more than welcome to bring a guest along to your photoshoot!

Comfort First: Please ensure your guest is someone you feel completely comfortable posing and expressing yourself in front of.

Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Footage: Your guest is welcome to capture fun photos and videos of you during the session for your social media!

Helpful Assistant: They are also welcome to assist with quick touch-ups, such as fixing stray hair, adjusting clothing, or holding props.

7. Image Selection, Copyright & Studio Policy

You Choose Your Favorites: You will select your final images from a proofing gallery.

RAW or Unedited Images: RAW or unedited images are unpolished working files and are never given out or sold under any circumstances.

Only fully edited, finished photos represent the photographer's work and quality.

Additional Images: If you fall in love with more photos than what is included in your package, additional edited photos

may be purchased for $20 each.

Copyrights & Proofing Rules: All copyrights are strictly owned by the photographer. Screenshotting proofing galleries

is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of contract.

Final Pre-Session Checklist

Try on Outfits in Advance: Ensure everything fits comfortably, and double-check for tags, lint, or wrinkles

(steaming your clothes beforehand makes a huge difference!).

Pack Everything the Night Before: Put all shoes, accessories, props, and garments together in one place so your morning

of the shoot is completely stress-free.

Hydrate & Rest: Get a good night’s sleep and stay hydrated so you feel refreshed and confident in front of the camera!
